South of Southpointe Shores and “West of The Trail” (US-41) you will find the small waterfront community of Harbor Acres. Some of the most affordable waterfront homes can be found here. Though the canals may only be well suited for smaller watercraft, the access to the Intracoastal Waterway is unobstructed. There are a few bayfront residences in Holiday Harbor that are suitable for larger watercraft. Please investigate each waterfront home thoroughly to determine if the home meets your water access requirements.
This community is not deed restricted and many of the homes are older Florida Ranch styles built in the 60’s and early 70’s though there are newer more modern residences in the community and vacant land can still be found in the community. Prices in Holiday Harbor range from $600,000 to more than 3 million.
The greatest thing about Holiday Harbor is its prime Sarasota location and reasonable property prices, lower taxes, and lack of HOA fees. This community is located 10 minutes south of downtown Sarasota and west of the fantastic shopping opportunities in the Westfield Sarasota Square Mall. Residents of Holiday Harbor are also only 5 minutes from the beaches on Siesta Key or playing golf on the links of TPC Prestancia, The Oaks Club, or Stoneybrook on Palmer Ranch.
This is a great community located west of Siesta Key that usually has a great selection of homes for sale. If you are seriously considering the purchase of a waterfront residence in Sarasota and you can not afford the premier locations closer to downtown such as Bird Key and Harbor Acres, Holiday Harbor may be just right for you.
